I'm Mbarek Akaddar from Beni Mellal, Morocco. I have been a teacher of English for 31 years. I am an E-Teacher, Certified National Geographic Educator, Microsoft Innovative Education Master Trainer, Certified Flipgrid Ambassador  and a member of TESOL Internationa Professional Development Council.

I have participated in EVO sessions since 2007. I was a  moderator of BAW 2011, 2012 ,  2013 and ICT4ELT 2014, 2015 . I joined EVO Coordination team in 2015 and served as the lead coordinator of EVO 2016-17.

EVO is my primary learning community. So I m looking forward to enjoying another EVO ride with you   :-)

I was a classroom teacher of EFL or ESL for 40 years. I recently retired from the faculty of the Maryland English Institute at the University of Maryland College Park, where I taught intensive and semi-intensive English for Academic Purposes from 1981 until 2015.  Now, I spend my days hiking, playing the piano, practicing tai chi chuan, reading, and enjoying the company of my husband and daughter. In addition, I am on the Academic Advisory Board for the Washington English Center, a large ESL program in Washington, DC. I've been involved with the EVO in some capacity since 2006: as a participant in four sessions, as a co-moderator in two others, as a mentor in several, and on the Coordination Team since 2013. I served as lead coordinator for EVO2014 and 2015.

A born again webhead, I had been teaching EFL for some 15 years in the Physics Department of the Université Joseph Fourier in France when I joined EVO in 2006, and the encounter with such a vibrant positive international community radically changed my teaching. I am such an TPAK enthusiast I am very happy to have this opportunity to 'spread the word', especially to teachers who still doubt whether all this online stuff is really worth the effort. Here's a collection of my "class wikis", a blog I use as an online storage space, elang-our EAP departmental web 1.0 site of which I am the webmaster, and a blog we in Grenoble share with Physics students in Moscow.

You can join me on skype: elizabeth.anne2 , twitter: @eannegrenoble, and on gmail at eannegrenoble.
To EVO friends I'm ElizA, because of our great Coordinator emerita Elizabeth Hanson-Smith.

Hi, I have taught ESL off and on for over 20 years and I've worked as a CALL coordinator, consultant, CALL software developer, Moodle administrator, and lecturer in Instructional Technology.  Now I work at Higher Colleges of Technology in Al Ain, UAE, but in real life I'm a Webheads founder and online learner working through http://learning2gether.net and other distributed learning social networks and communities of practice. I am editor of the On the Internet column in the TESL-EJ and eSphere editor for Writing & Pedagogy. For the past several years I have taught a course in Multiliteracies through TESOL and EVO with various co-moderators. The last rendition was called MultiMOOC.

Hi--Although I am now "coordinator emerita," I just wanted to introduce myself in case you see me online. I'm the author, with Joy Egbert, of CALL Environments: Research, Practice, and Critical Issues, 2nd ed. and the companion book of examples, co-authored with Sarah Rilling, Language Learning through Technology. I also helped write short vignettes for the TESOL Technology Standards, ed. Deborah Healey, et al. (All books to be found at TESOL.org >Publications.) A recent project was to help produce an ESL/EFL language learning game for the U.S. Dept of State called Trace Effects. A Ning for teachers contains loads of additional resources, and it's free online or by CD in countries around the world.

I was formerly the director of the TESOL Program at California State University, Sacramento, where I also founded the American Language and Culture Program for visiting and matriculating EFL students in the U.S. I've given many presentations on teaching with technology, and I've been working with EVO since 2002. Hope to see you in the coming year. I am currently teaching MOOCs for the University of Oregon's American English Institute, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. The Coursera offerings are called Shaping the Way We Teach English. They are free, so feel free to join!

Check out resources for teachers at my homepage, Computers for Education. My occasional blog on technology tools for teaching English is at Computers for Education/Scoop.it. I also supervise the CALL IS Virtual Software List on Diigo and link hot sites through Twitter @ElizabethHS. See you online!
