The EVO 2022 CfP is now CLOSED
as of the deadline: September 12, 2021
Individuals may propose a session, but we strongly recommend a team of several moderators for each session. At least one moderator should be a TESOL or IATEFL member or member of an affiliate association. Sessions may be on any topic in ESL/EFL (not necessarily about technology) and are free and open to all interested parties. We especially encourage proposals for hands-on workshop sessions involving materials development (whether online or on land) or the exploration of web-based tools or software. The session may follow up on topics from a previous convention or invite pre-discussion of issues or topics in an upcoming convention. To view descriptions of earlier sessions, including last year's, please see EVO Previous Sessions.
If you are interested in sending a proposal, follow these steps.
Step 1: If you don't already have one, create an account at https://my.pbworks.com/?p=create
You will need this in order to join the evo2022proposals wiki and start your proposal. Click here to learn how to create your account.
Step 2: Fill out and submit this Google Form to request permission to join the evo2022proposals wiki as an editor of your proposal.
Step 3: Visit the Proposals Wiki and request to join the wiki.
To request access to the proposal wiki,
Remember, do this only AFTER you have completed and submitted the Google form.
While waiting for approval, take a look at some examples of proposals accepted for EVO sessions in prior years.
When your request is approved, you'll be able to access the EVO2022proposals page and create your proposal!
Step 4: Click here to access the EVO proposal template.
Make a COPY and submit your copy to the proposals wiki page following the instructions below.
That's it! You are all set to work on your proposal.

Step 5: Save your page and return at any time to work on it before the deadline September 12, 2021
If you are joining an existing proposal, follow these steps:
Each moderator and co-moderator needs to submit a Google form requesting access to the proposals wiki.
When you fill in the form, you can give
your name, email, location, occupation, and title of the proposal you are submitting.
Where it says “main idea of your proposal” and “target audience”, these are required fields, so just explain that you are submitting an existing proposal in order to work on it with your moderating team.
Where it says “names of co-moderators”, give the name of the lead moderator (or the person on your team who is submitting, or submitted the proposal). Co-moderators should state the title of the proposal for the session they are trying to join.

Don't forget to review the instructions carefully.
N.B.: Moderating an EVO session is challenging and time-consuming. We strongly urge you to have at least one co-moderator, if not a team of moderators.
