This five-week session aims at exploring the potential of three Moodle activities: forums, lessons and workshops as tools to enhance cooperation, collaboration and development of critical thinking skills in blended learning environments.
Participants will reflect on these concepts, explore sample tasks created in Moodle, exchange ideas on how the samples reflect these principles and design their own tasks based on their teaching contexts.

Participants will investigate and discuss principles of copyright and fair use with regard to creating lesson materials. We'll reflect on our current practices when developing lesson materials, explore public domain and creative commons resources, and learn how to manage such resources responsibly.
Finally, participants will share their copyright compliant activities or lesson plans with one another, and provide and reflect on constructive feedback.

Come learn how to make videos in the 3D world of Second Life. These videos are called machinima (machine + cinema). Join us as we walk attendees through the equipment, software and procedures necessary for making short machinima videos to use in your teaching.
In each class we will actively practice all the steps from brainstorming to post production. You will learn how to implement good pedagogy, set and achieve realistic goals, practice good work habits when filming and editing all in an environment of collaboration and sharing.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the session once their final projects are received.

English language teachers from around the world are invited to bring their students to a writing community called the International Writing Exchange (IWE). IWE brings teachers and students from around the globe to a cultural writing exchange. IWE provides students with a purpose and motivation to write as they connect with other students. Teachers will learn about the project and how to create a writing unit for the students.

The goal of the M4T EVO 2015 session is to introduce the participants to a learning management system called Moodle. Participants will learn about and practice Moodle activities and resources available on Moodle. They will learn to to create video tutorials as they practice Moodle features with the roles and rights of a student, teacher, and manager. Moodle 2.8 will be used for the course.

But there is a different way, and it works very well. The 'articulatory approach' teaches students what to do with their mouths to sound right.
