no new proposals

See Call for Proposals Poster here: https://www.smore.com/408wx-evo21-call-for-proposals

Dear all, the EVO Coordination team have among themselves agreed to a ONE WEEK grace period for submissions of proposals to our proposal wiki and we have been accepting proposals which reach that wiki in that time as the remaining few have trickled in since Sept 13. However, we need to wrap up with the process and get on with the next step of vetting the 20 proposals submitted under deadline and within the grace period. Therefore -

The one week grace period for submission of proposals

expired on September 20

NO NEW PROPOSALS are being accepted now until this time in 2021

How to submit proposals before the Sept 13 deadline

If you are submitting a new proposal between now and Sept 13, please follow the instructions below.

Note that once you have filled in and submitted your Google Form, you need to JOIN http://evo2021proposals.pbworks.com/ in order to proceed.

If you are interested in sending a proposal, follow these steps.

Step 1: Fill out and submit this Google Form to request permission to join the evo2021proposals wiki as an editor of your proposal.

If you wish to JOIN a proposal already submitted, you'll need to fill in a form before we can grant you access to the wiki

  • You don't have to repeat all the details of the proposal you are joining, but we need
    • your name and email
    • and the name of the proposal you are joining,
  • and we'll need to verify that you are listed as a moderator in the proposal you wish to join.

Step 2: If you don't already have one, create an account at https://www.pbworks.com/

Step 3: Visit http://evo2021proposals.pbworks.com/ and request to join the wiki.

Please add a message when you request permission that gives the name of your session as submitted on the Google form.

Your request should be granted if you request to join the proposal wiki AFTER you submit the completed Google Form.

The proposal wiki is not on public access, so if you can see it, you would also have writer access at that point.

To request access to the proposal wiki,

  1. log on to your PBWorks account
  2. visit http://evo2021proposals.pbworks.com/
  3. and click on request access when you see this ...

 .

Remember, do this only AFTER you have completed and submitted the Google form

While waiting approval, take a look at some examples of proposals accepted for EVO sessions in prior years.

When your request is approved, you'll be able to access the page and create your proposal!

Step 4: Click here to access the EVO proposal template.
Make a COPY and submit your copy to the proposals wiki following the instructions below.

Step 5: Save your page and return at any time to work on it before the deadline Sept 13, 2021.

How to request access to a submitted proposal in order to collaborate with other co-moderators on that proposal

You will need to submit your own form requesting for access to the wiki.

  1. Here is the Google Form
  2. After you have submitted the form, THEN request to join http://evo2021proposals.pbworks.com/
    1. If EVO coordinators receive your request to join the wiki but do not find where you have filled in the Google form
      1. They will REJECT your request
      2. You can fill in the form and then REQUEST AGAIN to join the proposals wiki
  3.  You request for access will be GRANTED once EVO coordinators can see from your form
that you are listed as a co-moderator on the team you are trying to join.

When you fill in the form, you can give

  • your name, email, location, occupation, and title of the proposal you are joining

  • Where it says “main idea of your proposal” and “target audience”, these are required fields, so just explain that you are joining an existing proposal in order to work on it with your moderating team.

  • Where it says “names of co-moderators”, give the name of the lead moderator (or the person on your team who submitted the proposal you are trying to join)
